Learning about Henri Matisse

For our collage class we are learning about Henri Matisse. Henri's Scissors is a beautifully illustrated children's book which talks about Matisse's biography and how he came to love his scissors.

Children are cutting their own shapes for their collages, and choosing from shapes that have been pre-cut. We use Fiskars scissors because they are are highly recommended for learning to cut and they accomodate both righties and lefties!
